Shoshoni Texans

My name is Audreyia and I’m a Shoshoni Indian, I’m 36 y/o and I live in Southeastern Texas. It’s been a long journey to get here and to piece together my family history. I started looking into my family genealogy about 10 years ago, and it’s been a truly bittersweet experience, but we are here.

To start, most of the posts will detail basic facts about the Shoshoni in Texas as we are originial people to the land now called Texas. Although the Shoshoni have been called by many names, I use the name handed down to me from my great grandmother, and I spell it the most natural way for me.

Some posts will cover geography, some written history, some oral. Some will be written in standard english, some will be written in informal english. I welcome comments, but remain respectful, as I’m not here to argue/debate.
